Occidental Petroleum (Oxy) is an American company that is dedicated both to the exploration and production of oil and gas, as well as to the chemical manufacturer. Oxy works in the industry through the exploration, development, production and marketing of crude oil and natural gas. In the area of chemicals, manufactures and markets basic chemicals, vinyls and performance chemicals directly and through its affiliates (collectively called OxyChem).
