VQ was retained by OXYCOL to provide supervision services for projects associated with the Caño Limón Oil Field development. The average production of the field was approximately 100.000 BPD of crude oil during VQ's involvement. Services encompassed civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation disciplines to supervise the execution of a variety of projects and maintenance activities including:
Civil, mechanical and electrical works associated with the construction of the required infrastructure for approximately 150 new production wells. Infrastructure included:
Access roads, well pads, power, and surface equipment installatton.
Flowlines and pipelines ranging from 3" to 30" in diameter and ancillary works.
Power lines and electrical substations.
Supervision of ongoing production facilities expansion projects (total capital cost of over USD 80 million), including:
Power generation expansion: Installation and start-up of three Mirrless Generators of 8MW each.
Five 16.000-bbl production tanks and one 100.000 bbl storage tank including pumping systems installation and ancillary works.
Conversion of two storage tanks into process treatment tanks, with 50.000 bbl and 100.000 bbl capacity respectively.
Construction of a produced water cooling pond with 450.000 BPD capacity.
Assembly of five (5) Wemco oíl-water separation float cells.
Construction and expansion of retention ponds for water production treatment.
Maintenance and mechanical repairs of processing and storage tanks. Tanks capacity ranging from 20,000 BBL to 100,000 BBL.
Supervision of dredging operations in the Arauca.
River and the Agua Limón River. Dredged materials were generally used for well pads and roads construction
Water management projects implementation.
Paving of the Arauca-Arauquita Highway (approximately 25 Km) and construction of a 2,7 Km detour within the Caño Limon Oil Field.
