VQ was retained to oversee the execution of the EPCM contract associated with the upgrades of the OCENSA pipeline system to increase its no1ninal capacity by 135 KBPD (the P135 Project).
The OCENSA Pipeline is the largest pipeline in Colombia with a total lengtlh of 848 km. With the P135 Project, the total design capacity reached 745,000 BPD between stations Porvenir and Vasconia and 550,000 barrels of oil per day between Vasconia and Coveñas.
VQ's scope of the services encompassed the supervision monitoring and repor ting of the following EPCM contract components:
Project detailed engineering design.
Procurement management.
Construction management.
Human resources, financial and contractual monitoring.
HSE compliance
The OCENSA Pipeline capacity was increased by upgrading existing facilities and constructing new Pump Stations to optimizing the Pipeline
hydraulics allowing a safe operation with increased flow rates.
Upgrading of existing Facilities:
Expansion of the Storage capacity of at the Coveñas term inal.
Upgrading of the Cusiana, El Porvenir, Vasconia Pump Stations and Coveñas Telminal.
New Pump Stations:
Páez.
Chiquillo.
