UK-based Emerald Energy PLC is a company engaged on oil & gas exploration in the Middle East and South America. In Colombia, through its subsidiary Emerald Energy Colombia the company has ongoing explorations in Nogal, Manzano and Cardón fields and in the Caguan basin. In Perú, its operations are run by Emerald Energy Peru SAC in the Ucayali and Marañón fields. In October 2009 Emerald Energy became part of Chinese group Sinochem.
