Supervision services including technical, financial, legal, administrative, environmental and land owners registry supervision for the concession contract .
The Vías del Nus (VINUS) Road Concession is part of the Highways for Prosperity project that provides road interconnection between the city of Medellin and other Colombia's main highway concessions connecting market centers such as the Caribbean Coast, the Pacific Coast and the Magdalena River.
The Roads of the VINUS Concession have an estimated length of 157 km in the Department of Antioquia. The concession connects Medellín to the Port of Cartagena and the northern part ofthe country, as well as the Northeast of Antioquia to Ruta Del Sol through the municipality of Puerto Berrio, becoming one of the most important corridors in the country. lts execution will enable the transport of products for export more easily and economically.
In addition, this project facilitates the entry of products from other regions into the Department of Antioquia. Significant time saving is also achieved by having a speed design of 80 km/h for a new four lane highway, and through rehabilitati on of the existing Cisneros - Empalme Magdalena 2 section.
VQ provided supervision services to the following
activities executed by the construction contractor:
Construction, operation and maintenance of the four lane highway from Pradera (junction with Hato Vial Concession) to Porcesito. Length: 9.6 km.
Construction, operation and maintenance of a four lane highway from Porcesito to Túnel de la Quiebra located in the village of Santiago. Length: 5.1 km.
Construction, operation and maintenance of La Quiebra tunnel. Length: 4. 1 km; rescue facilities: 350 m approx.
Construction, operation and maintenance of the Cisneros by-pass road from El Limón portal to the town of Cisneros.
Upgrading of the existing road between Cisneros and Alto de Dolores.
Construction of the third uphill lane between San Jose del Nus and Alto de Dolores. Length: 2.7 km.
Maintenance of National Route 6205 between Barbosa and Cisneros.
