Management and Management of the new Cupiagua Gas Plant

Since March 2011 to 2013 VQ INGENIERÍA has been conducting Management and Agency of the new Cupiagua Gas Plant as a part of the 5206001 contract for the ECOPETROL Northeastem Management (GNO), project conducted inside (CPF) Cupiagua Field production facilities, in "Aguazul (Casanare)". The project was implemented by "ISMOCOL de Colombia". The project includes construction, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and starting-up of the Gas Plant in CREG - RUT quality conditions; with nominal processing capacity up to 21O MMSCDF¹ with 140 MMSCDF sales during the first five years of operation with a recuperation of 11000 BDP of GLP and 2350 BDP of NGL.

This project represents a major milestone for Colombian oil & gas industry, as it is the largest Natural Gas Processing Plant built in the country.
We want to share with ali our team that the project is in its start-up phase with positive results, which have been highlighted by our client ECOPETROL so:

 ▶  After opening the valve that communicates Cupiagua Gas Plant with the national transport system, operation carried out on Friday December 14th 2012 at 21 h 02, with an initial flow rate of 52 MMSFCFD, we participated in the recognition of the Northeast Region al Manager and the CPF Cupiagua Operations Superintendent to ECOPETROL's president and the whole human team of GTD, GAS, VIT TGI, EQUION and GNO²; since we assume with commitment the challenge of build, receive and operate the system composed by Gas Plant, and sales line, prepending life above all, the environmental care, assets integrity and process safety.


 ▶  At the time the "READY TO OPERATE" milestone was fulfilled, in December the 10th 2012³, we participated in the recognition of Northeast Regional Manager, Technical Assurance Leader and Cupiagua Gas Project Leader, for the commitment and dedication to fulfill the Ready to Operate milestone of the Sales Gas Compressor in the Cupiagua Gas Plant highlighting the following project features:
✸ Clean construction without environmental incidents.

✸ Low accident frequency rate.

✸ 2.48 million Man hours without lost time accidents.

✸ More than 3000 tons lifted without incidents.

✸ Good results in the pilot plan of the work control manual.

✸ Impeccable pre-commissioning and commissioning, deliering to Operation fully certified equipment 4 .

✸ Excellent contract administration. (More than 130 Purchase Orders and 5 contracts).


Congratulations to the whole human team of VQINGENIERÍA that are part of the new Cupiagua Gas Plant Management and Agency, they contributed greatly in fulfilling this important accomplishment that today we're deeply proud.
